One day trips near Warsaw
The city of Warsaw is a beautiful tourist destination that is gaining more and more popularity each year. Now that you have made up your mind to visit this place and you have booked your Warsaw apartment for the period of your stay, there are a few places for one day trips that you should know, in case that you have an extra day and you have already seen everything that is to be seen in the city of Warsaw.
The first destination for a one day trip near Warsaw is the town of Zelazowa Wola, where is the birthplace of the famous and very talented composer Frederic Chopin. This small town is located approximately 50 km outside the capital of Poland and there one could see the home of the composer, which is now a museum. It has a nice regional museum as well with collections of regional art and costumes. Another great place for a one day trip is the royal palace Wilanow, which was built at the end of the 17th century and used to be a residence of king Jan Sobieski. The palace is surrounded by a huge park and is set close to Vistula River, being a perfect example of Baroque architecture, arranged with many pictures and portraits, furniture and sculptures, etc. The park of the palace is very large and features four separate areas being the Rose Garden, the Baroque Garden, the English Landscape Park and the English-Chinese Garden.
The town of Plock is another interesting one day destination. The town used to be a capital of Poland for a certain period and has a nice castle. Approximately 60 km from the capital Warsaw is placed the small town of Pultusk, placed on an island in the Narew river. It has a castle, a large market place, a beautiful church and several nice restaurants where one can try some traditional meals. There is yet another place that would make a great one day trip from Warsaw and it is the small town of Czerwinsk, placed on the north bank of Vistula river, that has a nice basilica with two towers and Romanesque portal.

If you are in the city center, you can just walk for twenty minutes from the end of La Rambla area, pass the Columbus Monument and Port Vell de Barcelona. Since this is the most central beach zone in Barcelona and considered to be the best urban beach on the globe, it is almost always full of people and quite crowded during the summer months. The second most popular beach in Barcelona is Icaria Beach, which could also be reached with the yellow line of the metro and the stop is Ciutadella Vila Olimpica. This beach zone is quite big as well, and comes with fine sand. The third beach that deserves to be mentioned is Marbella Beach, which some consider to be a nudist beach even if it is not officially so. Marbella beach could be reached with the yellow line of the metro and the stop is Pobenou. Actually, the walk from the metro station to the beach will take you twenty minutes and you will need a map since there are no signs. The fourth beach to be mentioned here is Sitges Beach, which is placed outside the city of Barcelona and one will need to catch a train. The train leaves from Sants station and the journey lasts for thirty minutes.
The Bogatell Beach could be reached with the yellow line of the metro as well and it comes with a stretch of pavement, where people can go skating, jogging or riding a bike. The Nova Mar Bella Beach is placed in the northern end of the marina, near a recently developed area. It is close to metro stations Selva del Mar and Besos Mar, again on the yellow line of the metro. Another great option is the Lloret de Mar region, which is approximately one hour away from Barcelona using a bus. There are many nice beaches there as well. All these enumerated beaches are clean and are perfectly maintained, while the water is clear and ideal for swimming and fun.

Spain is a wonderful country with so many things that need to be seen, so many fabulous dishes that should be tried and so many attractions that should be experienced.
